Cheerleader U!

Ok so there's this show on WE. It's called CheerleaderU. Last season it followed the University of Kentucky. Basically Kentucky dominates in college cheerleading. They've won 16 nationals championships since 1985. They've won eight championships in a row, and they're extremely good. However, their eight-title streak was broken at the 2003 Championship by the University of Central Florida. UCF also took the title last year at the 2007 Championship. Cheerleader U premiered their second season last night that is following UCF this time to see if they can defend their title. The video is of their winning routine at the 2007 championship. I really like this season so far, there were two episodes on last night. I actually like it better than the Kentucky season. I think because UCF is more of the "underdogs". They've only won two national championships in their whole history of their program, and Kentucky has been dominating on the national level for over two decades. The team consists of the best 8 girls and 8 guys cheerleaders in the school. They work extremely hard and do things that I sometimes think are impossible. Their extremely talented athletes and it's amazing what they can do. Its just amazing how hard they work.



Ok so there's another cheerleading show as well! Haha. It's called Cheerleader Nation. It actually follows a high school team from Lexington, Kentucky called Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Their cheerleading program has won the UCA high school cheerleading championship for the past 5 years in a row. The show premiered when they won their 3rd championship. Their absolutely amazing for their age and the fact that their in school all day. The video is their 2008 routine. There's rumor that there's another season coming out but who knows! Jenna Moody, if you know her she's a freshman and she was on varsity at our school for football and basketball! She's moving to Dunbar for her junior year to cheer! She's ridiculously good and if she wants a chance to cheer at a really good college like Kentucky or somewhere around there she basically has to move down south because they take it way more seriously. It's only her and her mom after she sister goes to college and they decided to move there around next summer! So that's wicked cool:).



Ok so this team does have their own TV show! Haha. But their a high school team and I stumbled upon it a couple months ago and think their wicked good. I actually think their stunts are actually better than Dunbar's :X At least their sequence in the beginning! But their really good and thought they deserved the recognition! :)
